Had major maintenance done and now the car runs better than when it was new. One part, a Subaru water pump, was hard to find in town, and the staff stayed late to make sure the job got done. I really appreciated that. The front desk people are friendly and very knowledgeable. I have been going here for several years and always felt like they treat my car like their own. HIghly recommend them.

We have been taking our older Ford Mustang and Saturn Vue to Bob's for several years. The mechanics have done major work on both including engine replacement. We continued to go back to them because they seemed to be competent, honest, and reasonably priced. Recently, though, we have had to deal with a lot of repair errors like they were rushing through jobs. One or two minor issues I can understand but these have been major practice level mistakes. For example, the rebuilt engine they installed for us failed after about a year - metal shards were found in the fuel filter by our oil change shop. It was under warranty still so they replaced it free but while putting it back together they made a mistake with the steering shaft. As a result, the steering was loose and the speedometer was not functional (which of course affected other systems like cruise control). A thorough practice drive of the car after the repair would have found both issues instead I had to take it back. Then my husband had major work done on his fuel system - filter and pump replaced. On his first trip into town, he was stopped by other motorists because he was leaking large amounts of fuel. Evidently, the mechanics did not fill up the tank and check for sealant leaks before releasing the car. I think this shop needs to reevaluate it's quality control practices. In addition, they were very defensive when we addressed these mistakes. They attempted to justify and explain instead of just apologize and make it right. As a result, they have lost our trust. We will be taking our business elsewhere.
