An active library for a small town with a wonderful special room for its local smaller citizens. The Tyson Adam Kuhrt reading Room was added in 2003, shortly after the young Valley resident, Captain Kuhrt, lost his life in a flight accident and his parents wanted to honor their only child with this gift to the valley's children. Tyson was an avid reader and would have loved the activities the library provides on a regular basis in this room. With its stained-glass lamps and beautiful setting, it is unlike other reading rooms designed for children in similar towns and is well worth a visit. If you happen to live in the valley, enroll your child in the activities and please use this room to its fullest. Tyson was a "regular" citizen, like most of us, not a child of the rich and famous. This donation was made with love; please use this room and enjoy it.

Nice library. Lots of resources and the people are really helpful.

This Library is not the biggest around, but I find it to be just the right size. keep in mind their card allows you to use any library within Yavapai Library system. So if Chino valley don't have it, or can't get it, someone will. The staff at Chino Valley location is very friendly, personable, also they love books too. Please support your local library, it is very important that we hold on to these treasures of the old order. E-Books are the wave of the future, most-likely, and so be it. But real physical books are better.
